With Granfalloon Festival as a client, Vonnegolf was an 8-week IU Comprehensive Design Studio taught and led by Maxwell Fertik, focusing on designing and building a Cat’s Cradle-themed mini golf course. The class started by reading and studying the book, the festival and the culture of Kurt Vonnegut in-depth. They then each built their own cardboard mini golf hole to identify some of the common issues when designing a course. They were then split into groups where they all played an integral role in the rapid execution of the 5 mini-golf holes.
